Generosity is the most exclusive and wealthiest possession to enliven the surroundings by showering love, peace, encouragement, happiness, hope, smile, kindness and laughter. 98-year-old Dobri Dobrev, a man from Bulgaria, is the perfect match of ‘the more you give, the wealthier you become’. All his life, he has made a big difference by reaping the generous actions –giving away all his begging money which is more than 40,000 euro- and wealth of himself- commitment, compassion, love and energy.
Dobri dobrev, who lost most of his hearing in the World War II, has been travelling 25 kilometers for decades from his small village wearing his dirty old homemade clothes and torn leather shoes to the city of sofia to beg all day. Recently, it has been discovered that he has given away all his collections to restore the antique decaying bulgarian monasteries and churches and pay the utility bills of orphanages. For a living, he felt his monthly state pension of 80 euros was enough.
