Jim Walton

Jim Carr Walton, the youngest son of Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton, was born in 1948 in Newport, Arkansas. He is Chief Executive officer and chairman of Ervest Bank Group Inc, a group of banks which has 91 centers across Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. He completed his graduation in 1971 from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He joined Wal-Mart the same year and after contributing to its real estate area for four years, he left the company in 1975 to join other family business. In 2005, he left his position of Director of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and became the Director of Ervest Bank, an enterprise owned and run by his family.

He strictly guards his private life from public affairs. He, along with his wife Lynne McNabb Walton and four children, live in Bentonville, Arkansas.

According to Forbes Magazine 2010, he is the world’s 15th richest man whose net worth is $20.7 billion.
