Michael Joseph Jackson, American singer-songwriter, musician, artist, dancer, and philanthropist, was born on 29 August 1958, in an African American working-class family who lived in Indiana. His mother was Katherine Esther Scruse, a devout Jehovah’s Witness, and his father was Joseph Walter who worked at a steel mill.
From the very early years of his childhood, Michael’s dancing and singing styles were exceptionally matured. He was a musical prodigy, whose dominant voice made the black soul vocal group the most successful in music history by the end of 1969. It is believed that Michael shared troubled relationship with his father in childhood. He accused him of repeatedly beating during the incessant rehearsal. However in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Michael credited his father’s strict disciplines for his success.
Jackson made so many records during his lifetime. Some of his albums: Thriller in 1982, Off the Wall in 1979, Bad in 1987, Dangerous in 1991, and HIStory in 1995, all became the best-selling albums of all time. He is among the most respected artists who was invited in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. He, by receiving 13 Grammy Awards, 26 American Music Awards, 13 number-one singles in the United States became the most-awarded recording artist in the history of popular music.
Michael Jackson faced many controversies throughout his lifetime from changing appearance, personal relationships, child sexual abuse allegations or attempting to murder of his own child. However, in personal life, he was quite generous with poetic soul and very passionate about his fellows as well as animals. His sudden death on June 25, 2009 brought tremendous grief across the world. His more than one billion dedicated fans were heartbroken for his unnatural death, which was surprisingly cruel and unacceptable to them. His personal physician was accused of involuntary manslaughter.
